Let me tell you all about an experience I had. One day I was surfing the net looking for a pool cue, and I found a million sites. However, after comparing prices and selection, the only one I went with was Hawley's! This store has the best porices on the net by far, and even better prices than the actual manufacturers. I bought a Lucasi LD-2, with 314 predator shaft, for $227.20. I also have a Moori tip coming and if I ever need any supplies (or another cue or two) I will certainly buy it from them. Sharon, Ed, and Bobby were all awesome with customer service and all certainly had the southern charm. They answered every one of my questions (many of them) and never made me feel silly or ridiculous by asking them.

Thank you for the way you and your staff handled my recent order (your invoice 20871). All of the shipments arrived at my home in PA by 3:00PM Tuesday. This is remarkable when you consider I placed the order with you on Friday morning. There are several thoughts I want to share with you: A) The attitude you have is that you considered my order important and wanted me for a customer B) You are very knowledgeable about the products you sell C) You have good relationships with your manufacturers and distributors D) You are price competitive E) You deliver what you promise I shoot a lot of pool; 4-5 days a week, 2-4 hours/ day. Although my game has improved considerably in the last couple of years, I've probably stabilized at about a Class A Amateur level, using the 'Pool & Billiard Rated Player International' administered by Pool and Billiard Magazine. I tried the Predator break cue yesterday. After breaking 36 racks of 9-ball with it I am pleased to add it to my case. It's solid, hits hard, has no mysterious noises or vibrations, exhits minimal flex and will add a dimension to my game. No longer will I damage my playing shaft tips breaking or need to use a house cue to break with. The 314 shafts for my Meucci's also meet/exceed expectations. They feel different from the Meucci standard, red dot, and black dot Bullseye shafts, which was expected. I guess it's a toss up between the black dot and the Predator shaft. I may gravitate toward one more than the other over time, but for now it's nice to have the choice depending on the match I'm playing. Thank you for fulfilling my order and my expectations. As I acquire more pool equipment in the future, Hawley's will be my sole source. It's great knowing that there's a retailer out there who will dependably take care of my needs. As you continue to treat your customers like you treated me I'm sure your business will thrive while the competition weeds themselves out due to lack of performance or falling short in other areas where you excel. first i would like to say that you have the best selection of upper end cues that i have ever laid eyes on. you have all the great brands with all there great pieces. the staff you have working for you is excellent. Sharon you are the nicest lady I have met in a long time. i just recently purchased a Schon ltd 720. this is the second schon I have got from your store and i LOVE it. the first Schon is a vintage C8 and it plays as good as the first day I brought it home and i have had it for almost 3 years. the stick has countless hours of playing time on it and it shows NO signs of wear and tear what so ever. I also have a meucci, a McDermott, a cuetec, a Viking, and a joss. all of these sticks are great but they do not compare to the 2 Schon's I proudly own. Schon is by far one of the greatest makers of all time. and your store is by far the best little billiard store around. I will be a customer in your store for a long time to come!

I have recently become a Hawley customer and now a fan.
I myself am a World Trade Center survivor along with 82 other staff members from the company I work for Tradeweb which was located on the 51st floor of Tower one.
Funny thing is the week of the attack I was to receive a Giuseppe cue case I had ordered from your website to be delivered to my office in the WTC. Several days after the attack I had remembered this so I called your 800 line and a very polite woman answered. I explained my situation to her and she gave me very comforting words and showed such great concern for my well being. She had explained to me that she would do everything possible to help me get my case.
She contacted the manufacturer and in several days I had my Giuseppe case re-delivered to my temporary office in Jersey City in time for me to use. I am a member of the Amsterdam Billiard pool league it's my first season and I intend to continue being a member and cherish that case for it has sentimental value to me. Hawley's has definitely made a faithful customer out of me.

A decent cue. At first it was very nice until I started noticing the cue
being a little too jumpy. Great squirt reduction however it does not give

comments I just purchased the Balabushka GB-14 for my father, who loves to play pool.
He owns a Palmer, which was an east coast cue maker.
He loves the cue and feels that the quality is very good.
When I purchased the cue, it was explained to me that this cue was made in Asia and is a replica,
sanctioned by the estate of George Balabushka. Who cares, it is a novelty.
Rolex is not the most accurate watch in the world, it's just a Rolex.

I've had my Action 73 for just a few days, and it has performed well for me.
It has a good, solid hit and it applies excellent English and draw to the cueball.
The tip accepts chalk well (most of the lower priced cues are prone to miscues because of the hard tips provided).
I have two Cuetecs and a Meucci, but I've been using the Action cue lately.
I'm hoping it will not warp, but only time will tell.

All I know is if you take a joss 2003 and put a predator 314 shaft on it you can brake like thor without even trying and you miscue less because you stroke much lighter. I personally like the McDermott's almost needle like feel but they just don't perform as well on shots with English because you have to put too much power into your strokes witch can lead to a miscue, especially at long distances. a joss with a predator 314 shaft is smoother because you don't have to be so high strung. thats my review and IM sticking to it.

I have heard a lot of negative talk about the Balabushka cues. I purchased one a year ago and have found it to be a very nice cue.
Find nicer points! I just sold the cue today for what I paid for it last year. The retail may seem high but with
you all discounting them, they seem to be worth it. I am no newcomer to pool cues. I have a Kikel, Phillippi, several Espiritu's, Nova and several
production cues. I have a Meucci 97-15 that I would trade for another GB-4 anyday. Mabe I was just lucky, I don't know.
My next cue will be a Gina custom made. I have a passion for good cues.

This Lucasi is rather unbelievable. I hit with a Joss, Huebler, Mali, and Meucci but was most impressed with the hit of this cue. The Joss hit just as well for me, but it was so much more expensive. I couldn't justify the cost difference. My shots feel more straight definitely. I especially noticed this on the long shots with english. I still can't believe how well it hits, and I keep trying to find out why it's so cheap. Maybe I should stop looking and just enjoy the cue.... Thank you Hawley for the quick and quality service. I just wanted to thank the staff at Hawleys Billiards! The 1-800 number that you offer was one of the biggest reasons I chose you. The biggest reason was the personal attention that my order came with. When I had questions concerning the availability of certain cues in the predator line; the staff was excelent. They took my info and returned my call asap. Although I'm sure it was hard to do, the lady took the time to explain what a case looked like that I was interested in. To make a long story short, I chose a Predator 99-6 and a 24-A black Guiseppe cue and case. My expierience with your company has me completly 100% sattisfied. I would reccommend you to anyone!

-I purchased a mid range Meucci cue stick, a Guiseppe case, and a "Q-Caddy" from Hawleys.Not only did I get the best price (I priced each item locally and nationally),the service is unbeatable.
After price shopping I called Hawleys "800" number and got Walter himself on the phone with my first call.I was pleasantly surprised to find that Hawleys is Texas based and only twenty minutes from my home. I decided to meet Walter at his billiard parlor and pick-up my purchases in person.
Walter and his staff assembled my "Q-Caddy" and case for me, bought me a cold beverage, and in general could not of been more attentive.
More than six months later a part of the strapping mechanism on the "Q-Caddy" broke.I contacted Walter at his E-Mail address and told him of the problem. The next day I received his reply via E-Mail telling me that he remembered me and my purchases. Further, he was sorry to hear of my problem and would be in touch with the manufacturer that day.He also told me that if the manufacturer did not stand behind it he would repair it, replace it or refund my money himself,and that the option was mine to choose. How about that for service!

-I purchased a mid range Meucci cue stick, a Guiseppe case, and a "Q-Caddy" from Hawley's.Not only did I get the best price (I priced each item locally and nationally),the service is unbeatable.
After price shopping I called Hawley's "800" number and got Walter himself on the phone with my first call.I was pleasantly surprised to find that Hawley's is Texas based and only twenty minutes from my home. I decided to meet Walter at his billiard parlor and pick-up my purchases in person.
Walter and his staff assembled my "Q-Caddy" and case for me, bought me a cold beverage, and in general could not of been more attentive.
More than six months later a part of the strapping mechanism on the "Q-Caddy" broke.I contacted Walter at his E-Mail address and told him of the problem. The next day I received his reply via E-Mail telling me that he remembered me and my purchases. Further, he was sorry to hear of my problem and would be in touch with the manufacturer that day.He also told me that if the manufacturer did not stand behind it he would repair it, replace it or refund my money himself,and that the option was mine to choose. How about that for service!
